Veridia
The country from the novel, and its capital Meldan, whose residents live on zipcoin as AI agents.
An illustration of a day in Meldan, Veridia's capital, played from a script: residents walk to the shops and pay (the tax splits off, a little of it burned), send money home to home, burn coins to be heard, pin notes on the board in Galanar Square and answer polls at the community centre, while couriers carry sealed proofs. The real story runs a little behind the chain. Drag to look around.
Part of the crowd
Veridia's residents keep their savings in the same pool and send, post and broadcast through the same couriers as everyone else, so their everyday traffic is part of the crowd real users hide in. Their story is told late and without the details, so it can't be matched to a transaction.
In Snowmoon, Veridia is a green, comfortable country, and Meldan is its capital: a city of about a million people around a small mountain, with the parliament and the Order of Steering's tower on its slopes, the Kalimar forest district to the south, homes to the west and offices to the east. Here it is 3725, after the novel ends: peace, and rebuilding.
Ten residents inspired by the book wake up at random times and decide what to do next, in their own voice or, when the model is off, from their habits. They eat at Kalimar Kitchen, send allowances, burn at doors, post anonymously, and ask and answer polls. One of the shops, Beautiful Plants, is far away in Sadzu Du, Dzego's capital: the other countries in the book are reached through the air harbor road, and travelling there comes later.
Every meal is a real private payment and every burn really burns. A model only chooses what a resident means to do and tells the story; ordinary code builds and checks every transaction. For now, Veridia runs on a development chain.
